Donald Joseph Qualls also known as DJ Qualls in America is an American actor and producer. He shot to fame after his appearance in Road Trip. Since then DJ Qualls has starred in more than 20 films such including The New Guy Hustle & Flow or The Core. In addition, he has appeared in 22 TV shows including Breaking Bad Supernatural scrubs lost Law & Order among others. Qualls has been diagnosed at 14 years old with Hodgkin lymphoma, is an extremely tough fighter. Following two years of treatment the cancer was cured. The treatment began so early that it had a significant impact on the body and slowed his growth. After he began acting, financial security was his goal. He was a victim of the poverty of his youth. I've been living so cheaply for so long I have to have that financial security or my life feels beyond my control, he stated in an interview. He reflects on his childhood, and has an urge to do something against bullies. "Cruelty makes me cry," he said. On and off film, DJ's character would like to play the role of a father. Director doesn't pick him for these roles but he does say. He'd like to have a kid in order to be able to dedicate less time on his career to more attention to the baby.
